Judge Steeg has presided over the Justice and Small Claims Courts of Precinct 3 since 2007. A lawyer for 30 years, Judge Steeg applies her experience in private, legal aid, and government practices to the varied cases that come before her.

Judge Steeg was born in New Orleans and came to Austin to attend The University of Texas in 1971 where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1978.
