    Duties and Responsibilities

Enforces local, state and federal laws under moderate supervision, makes arrests, maintains patrol vehicles, transports prisoners to central booking and may transport persons to court or other jurisdictions. May perform additional functions to include investigations, community service operations, executes claims, checks serial and title numbers on vehicles. Performs other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Requirements

    By state statute, requires a High School diploma or equivalency certificate with no felony convictions. Must be at least 21 years of age or at least 18 years of age with 60 or more hours of accredited college credits or 2 years of military service with an honorable discharge. Requires basic certification as a law enforcement officer by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.

    Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish

    Hours: Work a minimum of 16 hours and works some holidays, nights and weekends.

    Conducts group and individual counseling with residents. Leads treatment team in development of residential treatment, education, and program plans. Trains staff on treatment issues. Serves as liaison with area schools, businesses, and outside agencies, and engages in program development.
    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Sciences or a directly related field AND three (3) years experience in social services, criminal justice or a directly related field;

    OR,

    Any combination of education and experience that has been achieved and is equivalent to the stated education and experience and required knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this job.

    Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
