Eligibility

Do I Qualify?

You might qualify, depending on several factors:

  • Living in Travis County for at least 60 days. Hurricane Katrina evacuees do not need to meet residency requirements.
  • Income & resources/assets. Requirements may be waived for Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
  • Disability status
  • Age of household members
  • Number of children in household
  • Level of need
  • Crisis within last 30 days
  • Proof of participation in workforce development activities (for repeat assistance)

What to Bring:

  • Driver’s License/Photo Identification
  • Your Social Security Card, and Social Security numbers for all other household members (you may still qualify—even if you or your family members do not have immigration papers)
  • Proof of gross income for all household members for last 30 days (most current pay stubs)
  • Proof of Travis County residency for at least 60 days (recent bills addressed to you)
  • Current Utility Bill (most recent month)
  • Past due rent/mortgage bill
  • Hurricane Katrina evacuees may have requirements waived. However, they must be registered with FEMA as an evacuee.
