Rule 166 Standing Order in Family Law Cases

NEW! Effective May 1, 2010, in any divorce suit, suit affecting the parent-child relationship, or suit to modify an order affecting the parent-child relationship, pursuant to Texas Rules of Civil Procedure 63 and 166, amendments to pleadings may be filed after 5:00 p.m. on the Monday two weeks before the week of the trial setting only upon leave of court, which leave shall be granted unless there is a showing that the filing will operate as a surprise to the opposite party.  Rule 166 Standing Order in Family Law Cases
