Northeast Metropolitan Park

Skate Park

Northeast Metro Park is nearing completion of a skate/bmx park. The area around the skate surface is still under construction and the skate park will remain closed until the remaining amenities are completed.

Construction completion is anticipated to be this Summer.

For safety reasons the entire area is closed to the public while construction continues. Park Rangers (Licensed Peace Officers) are patrolling the area and will issue criminal trespass notices to violators.

Directions

Going North on I-35 take the Wellsbranch-Pflugerville-1825 exit. On the access road get on 1825 which branches off it. Stay on 1825, it turns into Pecan Road. The park entrance is about 5.5 miles on the right.

Hours of Operation

Park Hours:
Day use is 8:00 AM to civil twilight (dark).

Sports Fields by reservation only:
7:00 am to 10:00 pm year-round.

Sports facilities are closed every Friday year-round for prepping, and December 1st through February 15th for rehabilitation.

Facility rental fee schedule

Northeast Metro Concession Stands:

Many tournament coordinators and other visitors coordinating company picnics enjoy using the concession stand facilities. While we do not provide food, beverages, or serving staff, we do provide a clean, easily accessible facility for people to set up as they wish.

Park staff are responsible for checking to see that the concession stand is clean, that all equipment is functioning properly, that there are ample trash bags for the day, and that the area is free of litter. It is the responsibility of the event coordinator to leave the concession stand clean and free of litter, and to notify park staff if any equipment is damaged or malfunctioning.

The event coordinator must see that all Texas Department of Health regulations are adhered to when selling food to the public.

Description

The 349-acre Northeast Metropolitan Park is a multiple-use recreational area with facilities for soccer, playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, biking, basketball, weddings, and concerts. The park will also feature an equestrian center with an arena, trails, chutes, and corrals.

• Ground fires are prohibited in all day use parks.
• Glass containers an fireworks are prohibited in all Travis County parks.
