VOLUNTEER DEPUTY REGISTRAR OPEN HOUSE
Would you like to help register voters in Travis County? Join the ranks of some 4,000 volunteer deputy registrars at an open house next week. The purpose of the open house includes:
- inviting new volunteers to join
- providing current volunteers with the opportunity to renew their appointments
- reviewing changes adopted in volunteer duties.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer deputy registrar must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Travis County. The open house schedule includes many one-hour sessions during the week of February 16th.

All training will take place in the Elections Training Room at 5501 Airport Boulevard, the main location of the Travis County Tax Office and the Voter Registration Division.
Nelda Wells Spears, Voter Registrar, thanks volunteer deputy registrars for the huge role they played in registering 98.3% of the eligible population to vote in the last election.
