Q: What happens to the Travis County applications when I submit them to the Human Resource Management Department (HRMD)?
A: Travis County applications are processed by HRMD for demographic information then forwarded to the hiring department within three business days. The hiring department will review the Travis County applications and contact applicants to schedule interviews.
Q: How long will my Travis County application stay on file?
A: Travis County applications remain active until the position has been filled, closed or canceled.

A: Yes, but you must complete one Travis County application per position.

Q: Do I have to be a U.S. Citizen to work for Travis County?
A: TCLEOSE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education) licensed positions require applicants be a U.S. Citizen. All other County positions only require applicants to be authorized to work in the United States.
Q: Do I need to include a copy of my transcript with my Travis County application?
A: No, if you are contacted by the hiring department for an interview they will request transcripts or other supplemental documentation at that time.
