The Travis County Housing Finance Corporation was created in 1980 to assist in meeting the housing needs of low and moderate-income families in Travis County. The Corporation provides single-family home ownership (including down payment assistance) opportunities to first time homebuyers who meet certain income requirements. In addition, the Corporation issues tax-exempt bonds to finance the construction or acquisition of multi-family apartments that must provide rental units to certain low and moderate-income families.
Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program
We are currently out of funds for this program. We are working to offer a new program. Please check back in a few months.
The Travis County Housing Finance Corporation (“TCHFC”) and the Travis County Health and Human Services and Veterans Services Department (“HHSVS”) have partnered to secure $300,000 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to offer rental assistance and self sufficiency counseling to Travis County families with household incomes below 60% of the median family Income, through the Tenant Based Rental Assistance (“TBRA”) program.
