Changes Effective January 1, 2012

Eligibility Changes:
Eligibility changes to the 2012 Comprehensive Energy Assistance program (CEAP) grant will be:
- Reduction in the maximum allowable income a family earns to qualify for services.
- Reduction in the eligible maximum benefit for a household.
- Notarized statement required from individuals who are not able to provide proof of income earned. The notarized statement must include:
- the amount of all income earned
- the efforts made by the individual to obtain documentation for all income earned
- Clients who state they earn zero income will be required to provide a notarized statement that includes they receive no income and why they are not working
- Photo IDs are required for notarization
There may be other 2012 CEAP program grant eligibility changes that have not yet been identified. Individuals applying for CEAP grant assistance can obtain and are encouraged to submit a TCHHS&VS Family Support Services Division service request beginning January 1, 2012 at any of the Family Support Services Division community centers below.

All applications are placed on a waiting list. You may obtain a service request form by phone and one will be mailed to you. Mailed applications will be placed on the waiting list in the order received by the post office stamped date.
