Fees for Services

Effective October 1, 2003
Account Processing Fee: $12.00 per year
Each parent is charged this fee each year.
Attorney Fees :
Reasonable attorney’s fees may be assessed against the respondent in child and medical support enforcement cases and visitation enforcement cases.
Brief Investigation Fee: $150.00, + $1,275.00 sliding scale per side
- Assessed by the Judge upon appointment of an investigator.
Cooperative Parenting Classes: $60.00

Series of six focus groups.
Enforcement Application Fee: $20.00

One-time-only fee assessed when enforcement of child
support or visitation is requested.
Guardian ad Litem Fee: $300.00 - $2,700 sliding scale per side
- This fee is collected by the District Clerk when a termination and/or adoption
suit is filed. In other lawsuits, the Judge will assess the fee upon appointment.
Income Withholding Fee: $15.00
- Charge for original issuance service, and each re-issuance.
Social Study for Adoption Out-of County Residents: $600.00
- This fee is collected by the District Clerk at time of filing.
Social Study for Adoption Travis County Residents Only: $200.00
