District Clerk
Failure to appear
Each trial needs a certain minimum number of potential jurors to proceed to jury selection, and you are one of those potential jurors. If you fail to follow through on reporting as scheduled, you will be contacted by the judge’s staff with instructions on being reassigned.
If you fail to follow through on the reassignment, you will receive a show cause order and court date to appear before a judge and explain why you failed to appear. At this stage, the judge may elect to reassign you a third time, issue a fine and court costs, or both.
