The District Criminal Courts preside over felony cases and all misdemeanors involving official misconduct. Once a felony case is indicted by a grand jury, the case is assigned to one of the seven District Courts. The Travis County District Attorney, through his Assistant District Attorneys, represents the State of Texas.

Changes to Notifications for Court AppointmentsNEW! On May 1st, Court Administration will cease sending new appointments via fax and all appointments will be sent exclusively via e-mail. New appointments can also be viewed by logging into the Travis County Appointment Management System (TCAMS) at www.co.travis.tx.us/courts/criminal/tcams/default.asp.
