The 167th District Court

The 167th District Court:  A Felony Trial Court   

District Courts are the highest trial courts in Texas. A criminal District Court like the 167th therefore, hears the most serious kinds of criminal cases known as felonies. Punishment in a felony case can range from probation (supervision in the community), to prison time, or to the death penalty depending on the type of offense and other factors.
