  WANT TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER DEPUTY REGISTRAR?
 
It’s easier than you think. Interested REALTORS® and Affiliate Members of the Austin Board of REALTORS® can be deputized to assist in registering eligible citizens to vote by contacting the ABoR Government and Community Affairs Department at government@abor.com or 512/454-7636, ext. 1501.
 
  QUALIFICATIONS
 
Deputized registrars must be at least 18 years of age and must accept the following duties:
  1. Review registration applications upon receipt to ensure completeness.
  2. Prepare, sign and provide receipts to those who submit complete registration applications.
  3. Deliver completed registration applications to any voter registration office location within five days of receipt.
 
  TERM
 
Volunteer deputy registrars serve for two-year terms expiring on December 31 of even-numbered years.
 
  BECOMING DEPUTIZED
 
There are two ways to become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar:

Group sessions: Volunteers may become deputy registrars by scheduling a group session with the ABoR Government and Community Affairs Department. If interested, please email government@abor.com or call 512/454-7636, ext. 1501.

Office visit:Visit the headquarters of the Travis County Tax Office at 5501 Airport Boulevard to obtain an application and receive an overview of duties to become a volunteer deputy registrar. Email questions to tax_office@co.travis.tx.us.
